Born into a MUSICAL & Business CIVIL RIGHTS FAMILY - (relative of Emmett Till that was killed and lynched in Money, Mississippi), featured in Ebony & Jet Magazines & Charlette is the 1st great grandchild of , PASTOR MOSE WRIGHT. Mose is her father Charles Jones' Grandfather.
The music history comes from her mom, ELNORA JONES that has won MUSIC ACCLAMATION for teaching, directing and recording GOSPEL MUSIC around Chicago, Illinois area and MIDWEST. She began teaching Evangelist Charlette piano lessons at age 3, but found she was more interested in more active types of lessons such as singing and making up songs on the piano. By age 13, Miss Jones had become a choir director of a 100-voice teen choir.
Miss Jones WAS OFFERED MUSIC RECORDING CONTRACTS as a child from the CHI Lites (in 1971), Staple Singers, AND WON 1ST PLACE SINGING AT "Holiday Inn McClurg Court" in the 80's.
She performed and DANCED WITH A SOUTH AFRICAN DANCE TROUPE TO FREE MANDELA IN 1972 while attending the UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS, CHAMPAIGN, URBANA. She later graduated with a DEGREE IN ACCOUNTING FROM Roosevelt University, and WAS the LEADER OF A DEBATE TEAM in college at "Roosevelt University" and was the only "African American and only woman." My team won many BUSINESS DECISION MARKETING COMPETITIONS!
Evangelist Charlette is a former elementary and highschool teacher and founded an organization, "WOMEN ENCOURAGING SONS," that has helped young men for almost 20 years.
She has been featured a few times on NATIONAL TV since the 80's.
